Resin

Pros:

Extrusion

Pros:

  • Larger print volumes 7”^3 for the Mendel i3; 10”^3 for the PrintrBot+
  • Open source electronics AND hardware
  • Parts are easily replaced, possible to purchase anywhere.
  • Cheaper hardware, $600 for the i3, $1000 for the PrintrBot+
  • Fun to watch.
  • Easy to source materials.
